Kampong Cham Red Cross Provides Humanitarian Aid to 3 Families Affected by Tornado

In Kampong Cham city, Kampong Cham province, Cambodia, three families affected by a tornado that struck around 4 PM on June 30th received humanitarian aid from the Cambodian Red Cross, Kampong Cham Provincial Branch. The aid was delivered on the afternoon of June 30th under the directive of Samdech Kittipreah Bun Rany Hun Sen, President of the Cambodian Red Cross, by Ms. Pang Dani, Permanent Vice President of the Provincial Branch, representing HE Oun Chhanda, Chairman of the Provincial Committee. During a meeting and visit to the affected families, Ms. Pang Dani conveyed the condolences and well wishes of leaders at all levels. She urged citizens to maintain a high level of vigilance against any unexpected natural disasters, especially during periods of inclement weather with rain, lightning, and tornadoes. She emphasized the importance of protecting oneself and maintaining good health by adhering to the "three clean principles": clean living, clean drinking, and clean eating. The aid provided to the two affected families by the Provincial Branch included 25kg of rice per family, instant noodles, canned fish, soy sauce, a seasoning kit, and cash. One family that suffered severe damage received 400,000 Riel (approximately $100 USD), while the other two families each received 100,000 Riel (approximately $25 USD).
