The Inter-Religious Friendship Promotion Association of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and Japanese businessmen jointly held a friendship and peace prayer festival on July 27 at Maha Bandula Park in Kyauktada Township, Yangon. It is said that the peace prayer festival was held to further develop the friendship between Japan and Myanmar and to promote greater progress and cooperation in various sectors such as economy and society. At the prayer festival, prayers were offered for world peace and prosperity, for the abundance of rice and agricultural products and rich natural resources in Myanmar, for the mental and physical well-being and business prosperity of all Myanmar citizens under the leadership of the President, and for all to be able to cooperate for the peace of the world. U Bo Bo Maung, Vice Chairman of the Inter-Religious Friendship Promotion Association (Islam) of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, said that he was grateful to be able to participate and pray at the peace prayer festival. Officials from the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the Chairman and members of the Inter-Religious Friendship Promotion Association (Central), Japanese businessmen, and invited guests attended the peace prayer festival.
