Pemalang Regent's Wife Arrives in Jakarta, Remains Silent After Husband's Arrest

Jakarta – Noor Faizah Maenofie (NFM), wife of the arrested Pemalang Regent Anom Widiyantoro, arrived at the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) headquarters in Jakarta on Wednesday night (July 29, 2026). She was one of 21 individuals apprehended during a sting operation (OTT) in Pemalang Regency, and like her husband, she remained silent, not uttering a single word to the press. Maenofie was secured by KPK investigators during a closed investigation and was brought to Jakarta after undergoing initial questioning at the Pemalang Police Station. According to Liputan6.com's observation at the scene, she arrived at the KPK's 'Gedung Merah Putih' around 7:12 PM WIB. Dressed in a black and white horizontally striped outfit, paired with an ivory jacket and a pink hijab, she lowered her head as she was escorted by KPK investigators through a back entrance into the building. Arriving in Jakarta with Maenofie were several other individuals also apprehended in the Pemalang OTT, including the Regional Secretary of Pemalang Regency, Bagus Sutopo, and the Head of the Public Works and Housing Agency (PUPR) of Pemalang Regency, Joko Triasmoro. These seven individuals are among the 12 people prepared for further examination at the KPK headquarters. The remaining five individuals, apprehended in Jakarta since Tuesday (July 28) night, have already undergone questioning at the KPK headquarters, including Regent Anom Widiyantoro himself. Budi Prasetyo stated that the KPK secured a total of 21 people in the OTT in Pemalang Regency. Five were apprehended in Jakarta, 15 in Pemalang, and one in Purworejo. Of these 21, 12 will undergo further examination at the KPK headquarters. The five apprehended in Jakarta are currently being questioned. The OTT in Pemalang Regency is related to allegations of bribery in regional projects and illicit transactions within the Pemalang Regency government, involving Regent Anom Widiyantoro. In addition to securing 21 individuals, the KPK also confiscated evidence, including over Rp 2 billion in cash and other relevant items.
