Based on the friendship built over more than 70 years between Myanmar and Japan, State Counsellor Min Aung Hlaing has urged to further enhance trade, investment, and technological cooperation. The State Counsellor made these remarks at the Myanmar-Japan Economic Forum held on July 28 at the Myanmar Convention Center on Min Dhamma Road in Yangon. He stated that to facilitate investment projects, it is necessary to ensure stable electricity supply, swift one-stop services, and simplified and clear procedures. He added that it is necessary to connect domestic MSME businesses with foreign investment projects to strengthen the use of domestic raw materials and supply chains, and at the same time, to integrate Japan's advanced technology, capital, management experience, and quality control systems with Myanmar's MSME businesses. The State Counsellor also invited Japanese technology companies to participate and invest in the Myanmar Digital Roadmap 2030 and the Yadanarpon Cyber City project, and stated that it is necessary to achieve Win-Win cooperation by combining Myanmar's natural resources, agricultural base, and young labor force with Japan's technology, capital, and management experience. He also invited Japanese business people to invest in Myanmar with a long-term perspective, while creating a transparent and reliable business environment for investors.
