Yangon, July 3 An offensive launched by the terrorist military and the SNA joint forces in the Indawgyi region of Moehnyin Township, Kachin State, has led to intense fighting, a regional military source told Khit Thit Media. It is understood that from July 1, the terrorist military and SNA joint forces entered the vicinity of Longson village in the Indawgyi region of Moehnyin Township, and from July 2, they launched continuous attacks with heavy weapons towards Pattharmya Mountain. Due to the offensive attacks by the terrorist military, some bases of the revolutionary forces on Pattharmya Mountain were forced to withdraw. Although there were casualties on both sides during the fighting, the detailed situation has not yet been confirmed. It is understood that currently, residents of Ward 1 and Ward 5 of Longson village are fleeing from the conflict. "They said they would retake Pattharmya Mountain, and for about the past two days, they had been making the people of Ward 1 and Ward 5 of Longson village take refuge in a monastery. Then, they started firing last night. They launched an offensive, firing continuously with heavy weapons. Yesterday afternoon, they went back to Pattharmya Mountain. They lost their bases. They were pounding us with 120mm artillery all the time, and snipers were also targeting us, so we had to retreat," the regional military source said. Similarly, on May 11, KIA joint forces intercepted and attacked a terrorist military column that was advancing towards Hpa village in the Indawgyi region of Moehnyin Township. It is understood that due to heavy casualties on the terrorist military side during that attack, the entire column retreated.
