Bun Rany Hun Sen Donates $100,000 to China for Flood Disaster Relief, Sends Message of Condolence

On August 3, 2026, Bun Rany Hun Sen, President of the Cambodian Red Cross (CRC), decided to donate $100,000 USD and send a letter of condolence to He Wei, President of the Chinese Red Cross, regarding the severe flood disaster in China. In her letter, Bun Rany Hun Sen stated, "I am deeply saddened by the flood disaster caused by Typhoon Noul, which has struck many provinces, resulting in extensive property damage, forcing the evacuation of nearly 900,000 people, and causing a number of casualties. In this difficult time, on behalf of the Cambodian Red Cross and myself, I have decided to donate one hundred thousand (100,000) US dollars to support the humanitarian operations of the Chinese Red Cross in response to the aforementioned disaster. I also extend my deepest sympathies to the affected families, especially those who have lost loved ones. I wish for a swift recovery in the devastated areas and pray for the good health and success in the endeavors of all Chinese people." This donation is part of Cambodia's humanitarian assistance to China following the natural disaster and reflects the friendly relations and spirit of mutual assistance between the two countries.
