Kandal Province Distributes Traffic Control Equipment to Enhance Road Safety
Kandal Province in Cambodia has distributed traffic control equipment to 13 municipalities and districts. The initiative aims to reduce accidents, especially near schools, and ensure the safety of residents and students during commutes. The provincial governor urged effective use and maintenance.
Kandal Province, Cambodia – On July 14, 2026, Kandal Province Governor Kuoch Chamroeun distributed traffic control equipment to the administrations of 13 municipalities and districts. This initiative is intended to facilitate traffic flow on major roads, particularly in front of schools, thereby reducing accidents and ensuring the safety of residents and students during their commutes. During the handover ceremony, Governor Kuoch Chamroeun instructed all municipal and district administrations to utilize the received traffic control equipment effectively and maintain it properly. He also urged them to cooperate with traffic police, local authorities, and relevant institutions to organize traffic order and safety on the roads. The Provincial Governor stated that the distribution of this traffic control equipment aims to strengthen public order management measures on roads and enhance traffic safety. The ultimate goal is to reduce traffic accidents, increase convenience for citizens' travel, and ensure the safety of students when entering and leaving school.
