Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education and Sports, Thongsalith Mangnomek, delivered a keynote address outlining the future vision for sports in the country. The Deputy Prime Minister highlighted four key priorities for advancing the sports sector: strengthening political and moral education through sports, improving talent identification and school-based physical education, enhancing sports governance and infrastructure, and expanding international cooperation to raise coaching and athletic standards. He announced that preparations are already underway for Laos to host the 36th SEA Games and the 16th ASEAN Para Games in 2031.
