Nghe An Province Receives Aid for Cleft Lip and Palate Treatment Program

The People's Committee of Nghe An Province in central Vietnam has approved the receipt of financial aid from Smile Train Inc. for a project aimed at improving comprehensive care and treatment for children with cleft lip and palate at the provincial Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital. The project, titled "Program for Treatment and Capacity Building for Comprehensive Care for Children with Cleft Lip and Palate at Nghe An Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital, 2026-2028," is designed to continue surgical support for children affected by this condition. This aid is part of broader efforts to develop Vietnam's healthcare infrastructure and enhance public health. Under Vietnam's one-party system, improving social welfare, particularly access to healthcare, is a key policy priority, and the government actively welcomes domestic and international cooperation.
