Vietnam Focuses on Unlocking Youth's Multifaceted Potential

In Vietnam's educational environment, academic results and exam scores remain the familiar yardsticks for students. However, behind every report card lie values reflected in creativity, spatial thinking, musical talent, motor flexibility, or community connection abilities. The government is strengthening efforts to fully unlock the multifaceted potential of the youth. It is considered urgent to address the challenges faced by young people in the increasingly digitized modern society, to provide them with spiritual support, and to foster their aspiration to contribute to society. Specifically, the expansion of educational programs that encourage talent development in areas beyond academics, and the provision of opportunities for youth to proactively engage in social issues are being considered. Furthermore, efforts to promote holistic growth within the school environment, including the importance of vision protection in the digital age, are being advanced. Initiatives to deepen the connection between youth and history and culture are also being undertaken, such as screening revolutionary films to foster patriotism. These initiatives are seen as part of Vietnam's strategy to nurture the diverse abilities of its young generation, who will bear the future of the nation, and to link this to the country's sustainable development. Vietnam, continuing its economic growth under a one-party system, emphasizes qualitative improvement of human capital. Especially as relations with China become more complex, drawing out the vitality of the young population domestically is an indispensable element for social stability and development.
