Inspections are being carried out using modern search equipment at 11 checkpoints

Modern search equipment is being used for inspections at 11 checkpoints established for security and the rule of law, according to Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, Brigadier General Min Thu. He suggested that if technology-based inspections, rather than manual ones, could be conducted at these checkpoints, it would be possible to identify and intercept prohibited goods and individuals who are not in compliance with the law. In response, Deputy Minister Brigadier General Min Thu provided the following answer. Brigadier General Min Thu stated that modern search equipment is being installed and used at the 11 checkpoints for inspection and search operations, and that modern search equipment is being installed to detect and seize drugs, weapons, and illegal goods. He also added that if the installation of such modern search equipment at checkpoints becomes necessary, it will be carried out depending on the availability of funds from the Union-approved budget and the financial funds of the respective region and state governments.
