Can Tho City Party Committee Meets with Politburo Inspection and Supervision Delegation

The Inspection and Supervision Delegation No. 227 of the Politburo of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee, led by Politburo member, Central Secretariat Secretary, and Head of the Central Organization Commission, Comrade Nguyen Duy Ngoc, held a meeting with the Standing Committee of the Can Tho City Party Committee to approve the draft report on the results of the 3rd inspection and supervision round in 2026. The meeting took place on September 22. This inspection and supervision is part of the Politburo's efforts to grasp and guide the activities of local party committees under Vietnam's one-party system. Furthermore, discussions were held on a draft decree regarding mechanisms and policies for the city's development, indicating ongoing debates about the direction of urban development and its socio-economic impacts. The Border Guard also reported on efforts to thoroughly implement the Politburo's resolutions and directives, highlighting the importance of the central Party's guidance in maintaining local security. In the healthcare sector, a case was presented where the internal hospital "red alert" system enabled a swift response to save a patient severely injured by two iron bars, demonstrating the enhancement of the medical system and crisis management capabilities.
