Cambodian Cyclist Raises Over $260,000 for Children's Healthcare in World Tour

Cambodian independent cyclist Tiv Tararith met with Minister of Information Net Pheaktra on the afternoon of July 21, 2026, after successfully completing his two-year, around-the-world cycling expedition. His mission, titled "Cycling Around the World for Cambodian Children," spanned 60,000 kilometers across 40 countries, aiming to raise funds for humanitarian causes. Through his efforts, Tararith successfully raised a total of $260,243.57 USD. These funds are designated for Angkor Hospital for Children in Siem Reap and Kantha Bopha Children's Hospital, to support the examination, treatment, and healthcare of Cambodian children. Minister Net Pheaktra commended Tararith's spirit of sacrifice and commitment to contributing to Cambodian society, particularly for the well-being of its children. The meeting served to encourage Tararith to continue his endeavors for the cause of Cambodian children. The Ministry of Information will support Tararith in organizing a press conference on the afternoon of July 27, 2026, to report on the outcomes of his fundraising campaign. Tararith plans to share untold stories from his two-year journey and publicly thank donors, supporters, and private companies that made the mission possible. Tararith expressed gratitude to the public, media, and private sector for their contributions to the campaign's success, noting that approximately 50,000 individuals participated in donations.
