Dak Lak Border Guards Enhance Social Welfare and Legal Education Activities

In Dak Lak province, located in Vietnam's central highlands, the Border Guards are actively promoting social welfare activities and legal education to improve the lives of local residents and foster legal compliance. From July 10th to 11th, units under the command of the Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard Command conducted intensive social welfare, legal education, and skills training programs for youth and fishermen in border areas. These initiatives aim to contribute to the stability and development of the local community. Previously, the Border Guards have engaged in a wide range of activities, including the construction of river and stream embankments for border protection, organizing contests for outstanding youth leaders and young disseminators, investigating illegal drug use cases in border areas, undergoing comprehensive inspections by the Border Guard Command, launching tree-planting campaigns in memory of Uncle Ho, and supporting residents' livelihoods during the Tet holiday. These activities are part of social control and regional development efforts under Vietnam's one-party system. Border regions, rich in ethnic diversity, are also susceptible to economic disparities and external influences, making the Border Guards' work crucial not only for security but also for strengthening the residents' livelihoods. As Vietnam continues its economic growth, stability in border regions is essential for national security and economic development. Such community-oriented activities by the Border Guards are believed to play a significant role in fostering national unity and enhancing public trust in the government.
