Vietnam: Military Builds Homes for Policy Beneficiaries in Tay Ninh

On July 27, in Nhơn Ninh commune, Tây Ninh province, the Political Department of Military Region 9 and the Provincial Military Command of Tây Ninh organized a ceremony to hand over funds and commence the construction of houses for policy beneficiaries, including individuals who have rendered meritorious service to the revolution and their families in the locality. Under this initiative, the Political Department of Military Region 9 will support the construction of 3 houses, while the Provincial Military Command of Tây Ninh will support the construction of 6 houses, with a total budget of 540 million VND (60 million VND per house). Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel Lê Hoàng Giữ, Deputy Head of the Political Department of Military Region 9, emphasized: "Nhơn Ninh is a land rich in revolutionary tradition, a place where generations of cadres and soldiers of the former Political Department of Military Region 8 fought and grew during the two wars of resistance." He expressed the hope that policy beneficiaries will continue to uphold the revolutionary tradition, overcome difficulties, actively engage in labor and production, and build increasingly stable lives. He also wished for their continued partnership with the Party committees, local authorities, and the armed forces in building a more prosperous homeland. This project underscores the military's commitment to strengthening support for local communities, particularly for those who have contributed to the nation's revolutionary cause. Within Vietnam's one-party system, such social welfare initiatives, coupled with the emphasis on revolutionary history, are crucial for maintaining political legitimacy and fostering public trust. The military's active participation in community development also serves to reinforce its ties with the populace.
