Cambodian Information Officials Attend Media Seminar in China to Enhance Cultural Exchange and Cooperation

AKP Beijing, September 3, 2026 -- A delegation from Cambodia’s Ministry of Information is attending a seminar on “Chinese Culture for Media Professionals from Belt and Road Countries” in Beijing, the People’s Republic of China. Speaking at the opening ceremony this afternoon, Ms. Zhou Jihong, Director General of the International Cooperation Department of the National Radio and Television Administration (NRTA) of China, said the seminar would serve as an important platform for participants to exchange knowledge and experience, enhance mutual understanding, and further strengthen friendship, solidarity and cooperation among China and Belt and Road countries. She briefed the participants on the rapid development of China’s radio and television industry, as well as the country’s broadcasting and television management system. For his part, Mr. Mulunch Gebre Yiemenu, representative of the delegations from Belt and Road countries, highly appreciated the NRTA for organising the significant seminar. He said the programme would contribute to enhancing participating journalists’ understanding of Chinese culture and further promoting people-to-people exchanges, connectivity and multilateral cooperation between China and Belt and Road countries. The seminar, held from Sept. 3 to 23, brings together 21 media professionals from Belt and Road countries and organisations, including Cambodia, the African Union Commission, Bulgaria, Costa Rica, Ethiopia, Iraq, Jordan, Panama and Sierra Leone. The Cambodian delegation’s participation reflects the continued efforts to strengthen exchanges and cooperation in the field of information and media between Cambodia and China. By Lim Nary
