Cambodia: Local Authorities Thank Donor for Supporting Border Defense Forces

Mr. Say Kim Lom, Governor of Stung Treng District, expressed his deepest gratitude to Mr. Thao Cheath for his continuous support and encouragement to the heroic soldiers defending the territorial integrity. On the morning of September 11, 2026, the governor, along with colleagues and philanthropists, delivered cash, supplies, and food items donated by Mr. Thao Cheath, head of the working group for grassroots affairs in Stung Treng District, Kampong Thom Province, and other philanthropists, to encourage the Stung Treng district's reserve forces, who are preparing to depart on a mission to defend territorial integrity in the Preah Vihear – Phnom Dangrek sector soon. Mr. Say Kim Lom highlighted that as the authorities of Stung Treng District and the rear battlefield, they have continued to cooperate in supporting, backing, and encouraging the heroic frontline soldiers like a steady rain, especially providing encouragement and support with food, daily necessities, and cash to the Stung Treng reserve forces for their mission in the Preah Vihear – Phnom Dangrek sector. Concurrently, the district governor expressed his gratitude and encouraged the soldiers of the Stung Treng reserve forces, as well as all heroic frontline soldiers, who have sacrificed in all aspects for the peace of the people and the defense of territorial integrity, tirelessly enduring the heat of the sun and the rain and storms from invading bandits. In addition, the district governor also expressed his immense gratitude to civil servants, forces, citizens, philanthropists, and monks, both near and far, who have always provided support, backing, and encouragement, and cooperated with the Stung Treng District Administration in frequently supporting and encouraging the heroic frontline soldiers. It should be noted that on this occasion, the district governor provided 600,000 Riel to the commander of the Stung Treng reserve forces, 400,000 Riel to each of the 8 soldiers departing on the mission, and 100,000 Riel to each of the 7 soldiers on standby at the reserve forces, along with many food items and daily necessities, totaling 5,688,000 Riel.
