Tropical Storm Noul is expected to affect various provinces across the Kingdom of Cambodia, with coastal areas forecast to receive up to 60% rainfall, accompanied by strong winds and notably high sea waves. Authorities are urging the public to exercise heightened caution. According to a notice on meteorological conditions issued by the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology on July 27, 2026, Tropical Storm Noul continues to influence the southwest monsoon blowing over the Bay of Bengal, Andaman Sea, South China Sea, Mekong River Basin, Cambodian Sea, and the Kingdom of Cambodia. Although the Kingdom of Cambodia is not directly in the storm's path, its effects are anticipated. This situation is expected to bring significant weather changes from July 27 to July 29, 2026. The weather forecast by region is as follows: 1. Lowland Areas: Temperature average minimum 24°C, maximum 36°C. Winds from the southwest and northwest at an average speed of 3 meters/second. Provinces such as Banteay Meanchey, Battambang, Poipet, Kampong Chhnang, Siem Reap, Kampong Thom, Kampong Cham, Tbong Khmum, Kandal, and Phnom Penh Capital City may experience rainfall covering 30% of their areas, accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds. 2. Highland Areas: Temperature average minimum 23°C, maximum 35°C. Winds from the southwest and west at an average speed of 4 meters/second. Provinces such as Kampong Speu, Pailin, Oddar Meanchey, Preah Vihear, Kratié, Stung Treng, Ratanakiri, Mondulkiri, the Dangrek mountain range, and the Cardamom mountains may experience rainfall covering 40% of their areas, accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds. 3. Coastal Areas: Temperature average minimum 25°C, maximum 35°C. Winds from the southwest and southeast at an average speed of 2 meters/second. Provinces such as Koh Kong, Preah Sihanouk, Kampot, Kep, and the Bokor mountain area may experience rainfall covering 60% of their areas, accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds. Sea conditions will feature waves with an average minimum height of 0.50 meters and an average maximum height of 1.75 meters. In light of the aforementioned weather conditions, the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology urges all citizens to increase their vigilance against potential weather phenomena, especially those residing in coastal areas.
