Vietnam, Laos Step Up Cooperation to Deepen Strategic Cohesion

Vietnam's Deputy Prime Minister visited Laos, reaching an agreement to enhance cooperation aimed at deepening the "strategic cohesion" between the two countries. During their talks, both sides agreed to effectively implement agreements between their respective parties and nations, strengthen defense and security cooperation, achieve breakthroughs in economic, trade, and investment links, and promote collaboration in culture, sports, tourism, education, locality-to-locality ties, and people-to-people exchanges. Vietnam is a significant investor in Laos, supporting its economic growth. This visit is intended to further solidify the partnership between the two nations in the strategically important Southeast Asian region.
