Car Plunges into Canal in Hai Phong, Couple Dies

A Kia Morning carrying five people plunged into a canal in Cau Thuong village, An Quang commune, Hai Phong city on September 6, resulting in the deaths of the driver and his wife, and injuries to three passengers. Local residents discovered the incident around 12:50 PM and quickly rushed to the scene to assist in rescuing the victims and coordinating emergency response with authorities. The car was found submerged in the canal. The driver, Dao Manh Lap, 68, and his wife, Ngo Thi Trong, 67, who was in the front passenger seat, both residents of Co Am commune, were pronounced dead.
