Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister Explores Advanced Technology and Investment in China

Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister Sun Chanthol actively participated in the 26th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) held in Xiamen, Fujian Province, China, on September 7, 2026. Leading a high-level delegation and representatives from Cambodia's private sector, he engaged in a full day of intensive working missions, including study tours to explore innovative technologies and business luncheons to exchange views with key international partners. At noon, following a courtesy call and bilateral working discussions with Mr. Zhou Zuyi, Secretary of the Fujian Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Deputy Prime Minister and his delegation attended a business luncheon hosted by the senior management of Xiamen Hongda Taxation Service Limited, led by its Chairman, Mr. You Lingkan. Xiamen Hongda, a leading tax and audit service company in China, played a significant role in hosting Cambodia's Pavilion and a roundtable seminar at CIFIT. This meeting focused on business exchanges, building networks between the private sectors, and attracting investors from Fujian Province to invest in Cambodia. After the business luncheon, the Deputy Prime Minister and his accompanying delegation visited SDIC Intelligent Information Technology Co., Ltd. for a study tour to learn about innovative technologies. They were warmly welcomed by the senior management team led by Chairman Mr. Teng Da. During the visit, the Cambodian delegation explored the company's leading capabilities in digital forensics, the digitalization of public security, cybersecurity, and digital government, which are considered crucial for Cambodia in promoting sustainable and secure digital economic and digital security development. In the evening, the Deputy Prime Minister and delegation participated in a business and investment dinner hosted by the senior management of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD). All three events concluded in a cordial atmosphere, yielding fruitful results and paving the way for further economic, trade, and investment cooperation between Cambodia and its international partners in the future.
