342 PMA Cadets Officially Incorporated into Armed Forces

BAGUIO CITY, Philippines — The Philippine Military Academy (PMA) officially incorporated 342 cadets of the PMA Class of 2030 into the Cadet Corps of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (CCAFP). These cadets were selected from the 1,436 who passed the entrance examination last year after undergoing stringent selection processes. The new cadets, including 76 women, are among the 365 candidates admitted to the PMA on May 23, having successfully passed psychological, physical, medical, and neuropsychiatric screenings. Their incorporation into the CCAFP followed the completion of a two-month training program for the New Cadet Battalion. They will carry the class name “MASIKLAB LAHI,” which translates to “Warriors as Symbols of Courage and Strength for the Nation of Chosen Lineage.” PMA Superintendent Lt. Gen. Michael Logico told the cadets that joining the corps signifies not the end of their ordeal, but the commencement of greater responsibilities. "You will no longer be judged solely by what you can endure, but by the standards you uphold, the example you set, and the honor with which you wear this uniform," Logico stated. The cadets have undergone training in military discipline, physical conditioning, character development, military values, and basic combat skills in preparation for the rigors of cadet life. Logico reminded them that lives would eventually depend on their judgment and courage, welcoming them to a lifetime of service to the country and its people.
