Phu Tho Province Launches 5th Season of 'Lac Hong Aspiration' TV Gameshow for High School Students

The "Lac Hong Aspiration" TV gameshow, season 5, for high school students in Phu Tho Province, northern Vietnam, was launched on August 4th. The event was jointly organized by Phu Tho Radio and Television, the Department of Education and Training, and Phu Tho Telecommunications. Over four seasons, the "Lac Hong Aspiration" gameshow has established its influence as an intellectual playground, becoming a program with a rich, distinctive identity for the "Dat To" (Ancestor's Land) region. It has garnered significant attention and support from schools, students, and a wide audience. The program aims to promote a spirit of studiousness, foster love for the homeland, and create an environment for students to exchange and showcase their knowledge, confidence, and skills. According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Trinh, Deputy Director of Phu Tho Radio and Television, the fifth season marks a new phase of development with numerous innovations in content and organization methods to enhance the program's professional quality and appeal. A notable new feature this year is the first-ever preliminary round, chaired by the Department of Education and Training, to select the most outstanding contestants for the official competition. The organizing committee announced that this year's gameshow will gather 48 contestants from 45 high schools across the province. This is the season with the largest number of participants since the program's inception, and it also marks the full participation of schools from the former Phu Tho, Vinh Phuc, and Hoa Binh regions. The question system continues to be developed to incorporate updated scientific knowledge across various fields, combined with content about the history, culture, and people of the "Dat To" region. This approach contributes to educating life skills, nurturing pride in one's homeland, and developing students' comprehensive qualities and capabilities. According to the plan, the official competition rounds will be filmed starting August 8th and broadcast every Sunday at 8:30 PM, beginning August 16th. The final match will be broadcast live on December 20th, 2026, to determine the season's champion. With its content innovations, the fifth season of the "Lac Hong Aspiration" TV gameshow is expected to further solidify its brand as an intellectual playground for high school students, contributing to the spread of a learning culture, awakening the aspiration to conquer knowledge, and inspiring the younger generation in their homeland to strive for excellence.
