Thailand Approves Ground and Cargo Service Contract for Suvarnabhumi Airport

The Thai cabinet has approved a contract for the provision of ground and cargo services at Suvarnabhumi International Airport in Bangkok. The agreement will be signed between the Airport of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT) and its subsidiary, AOT Ground Aviation Services Company Limited (AOTGA). The concession is for a period of 25 years and is valued at approximately 67 billion Thai baht (equivalent to about 2.7 billion USD). This contract follows a selection process for the third ground and cargo service provider at Suvarnabhumi Airport, with AOTGA set to undertake this role. The move is expected to enhance the airport's operational efficiency and service quality. As Thailand's primary international hub, Suvarnabhumi Airport handles a large number of airlines, passengers, and cargo throughout the year. Strengthening its operational framework is significant for the Thai economy.
