Paisal Sali to represent Basilan's 2nd District in BARMM Parliament
Paisal Sali has won the seat for Basilan's 2nd District in the Bangsamoro Parliament following the first-ever BARMM parliamentary elections. Sali, running under a party linked to the MILF, is expected to further solidify his clan's political influence in the region.

Jimael Salam Datumanong Salliman, also known as Jay Hataman Salliman, son of Basilan Vice Governor Jim Hataman Salliman, has won a landslide victory in the 2026 Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) parliamentary elections, securing the 4th District seat for Basilan.
