Hantavirus Cases on the Rise in Indonesia: A Call for Environmental Sanitation

Following a hantavirus outbreak on a Dutch cruise ship, the Indonesian Ministry of Health reported an increase in domestic cases of Hemorrhagic Fever with Renal Syndrome (HFRS). With 23 confirmed cases between 2024 and 2026, authorities are urging increased vigilance regarding rodent-borne diseases.
