Vietnam Reopens Fatal Accident Probe, Former Police and Prosecutors Charged
Vinh Long Province, Vietnam has reopened the investigation into a fatal traffic accident that killed a 14-year-old student, nearly a year after it was suspended. Initially deemed a non-criminal incident, the case was revived for the truck driver on suspicion of violating road traffic regulations after intervention from the Supreme People's Procuracy. Concurrently, former police and prosecutors involved in the initial handling of the case have been indicted for alleged 'harboring a criminal'.
