Thailand is hosting the 'TCCN Forum 2026' under the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN), aiming to drive sustainable urban development. The forum provides an opportunity for Thai cities to collaborate with the international network and explore innovative development strategies.
The 'TCCN Forum 2026', based on the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN), has opened in Bangkok, Thailand. This forum aims to strengthen inter-city cooperation within Thailand and explore new strategies for sustainable urban development. The forum brings together urban stakeholders, experts, and related organizations from both within and outside Thailand that are members of the UCCN. Discussions are expected to cover innovative solutions to urban challenges and strategies for revitalizing local economies by leveraging culture and creativity. In particular, the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), under the umbrella of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), is taking a leading role in deepening cooperative relationships among member cities and sharing international best practices, with the goal of enhancing the competitiveness and sustainable growth of various Thai cities. In recent years, Thailand has experienced rapid urbanization, but challenges such as environmental issues and widening social disparities have also become apparent, increasing the importance of sustainable urban development. This forum is expected to be a significant step towards addressing these challenges and realizing more inclusive and resilient cities.
