Vice President attends 23rd CAEXPO in Nanning

Vice President U Nyo Saw attended the 23rd China-ASEAN Expo and China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit in Nanning of China, on Thursday. High-ranking officials from China and ASEAN member states delivered opening speeches and formally opened the expo. In his speech, Vice President U Nyo Saw emphasized the digital economy, green economy, supply chains, and consumerism as areas that could create greater opportunities for trade and investment and promote mutually beneficial economic activities. He pledged to continue cooperation based on the strategic location of ASEAN, balance, and mutual interests, while maintaining friendly relations with China and ASEAN member states. Vice President U Nyo Saw later attended the China-ASEAN Business Leaders Forum and made a speech. The Vice President also participated in the opening of City of Charm Pavilion of Myanmar at the Nanning International Convention and Exhibition Center. He also took a tour of the pavilions of ASEAN member states displayed there. Myanmar exhibits 81 booths at the China-ASEAN Expo, displaying agricultural produces, handicrafts, and jewellery. Likewise, a total of 865 booths from ASEAN member states are displaying the products of their respective countries.
