Kandal Province Accelerates Land Title Issuance, Focusing on Citizen Rights and Dispute Resolution

Kandal Province, Cambodia, on July 17, 2026, held its monthly meeting of the provincial administration, prioritizing the acceleration of land title issuance and the resolution of land disputes for its citizens. The meeting, led by H.E. Kuch Chamroeun, Governor of Kandal Province, was attended by deputy governors, heads of provincial departments, and relevant officials. During the meeting, the governor urged all relevant ministries, departments, and authorities to strengthen work discipline, enhance responsibility, and cooperate closely to effectively address challenges, respond promptly to citizens' needs, and ensure the provision of public services with high transparency, accountability, and efficiency. The Department of Land Management, Urban Planning, Construction, and Cadastre was specifically directed to expedite the preparation of documents and procedures for issuing land titles after land registration is completed, ensuring swift delivery to all citizens to guarantee their legal rights to land possession and use, thereby increasing public confidence in state services. Relevant authorities were also instructed to continue focusing on resolving outstanding land disputes, adhering to the principles of law, transparency, fairness, and the common interest of the people, aiming to minimize land conflicts. Furthermore, H.E. Kuch Chamroeun encouraged close collaboration between the provincial tax branch and the Department of Land Management, Urban Planning, Construction, and Cadastre to speed up document scanning and verification, reducing administrative processing times and improving the efficiency of land title issuance. The governor appealed to leaders, officials, and technical officers at all levels to uphold their spirit of responsibility, serving the people with integrity, professionalism, and strong commitment, prioritizing the interests of the citizens to contribute to the further development and sustainability of Kandal Province.
