Discussions on implementing projects under the China-Myanmar Economic Corridor

Discussions were held regarding the implementation of projects under the China-Myanmar Economic Corridor between Vice President U Nyo So and Chinese Vice Premier Mr. Ding Xuexiang. The Myanmar delegation led by Vice President U Nyo So arrived in Nanning City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China, on September 16th to attend the 23rd China-ASEAN Expo and the 23rd China-ASEAN Investment and Trade Summit. The discussions took place at this time. During their meeting at the Liyuan State Guest House in Nanning City, Vice President U Nyo So and Chinese Vice Premier Mr. Ding Xuexiang discussed the progress of implementing the agreements and understandings reached during the goodwill visit of Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister U Min Aung Hlaing to China. Furthermore, frank discussions were held on matters related to the implementation of projects under the China-Myanmar Economic Corridor, bilateral relations, border stability, enhancing bilateral trade and investment, combating cross-border crimes including online fraud between the two countries, and cooperation on regional and international fronts. It was reported that the meeting was attended by Union Minister for Commerce and Trade U Tun Ohn, Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs U Nyi Min Kyaw, Myanmar Ambassador to the People's Republic of China U Zaw Myint, and other responsible officials, along with the Vice President.
