LPA off Quezon may become tropical depression in 24 hours – Pagasa

The low-pressure area (LPA) within the Philippine area of responsibility and off Infanta, Quezon, has a high chance of developing into a tropical depression (TD) within the next 24 hours, the state weather bureau announced. Loriedin Dela Cruz, a weather specialist from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), stated based on the latest meteorological data that the probability of this LPA evolving into a tropical depression is high. The development into a tropical depression could bring rain and strong winds to various parts of the Philippines, prompting Pagasa to issue a call for vigilance.
