Cambodia Conducts Emergency Intervention Program Training for Local Officials

Kampong Cham province has launched a training program aimed at strengthening the capacity of local administrators to effectively implement the government's emergency intervention program. This training is designed for administrators at the municipal, district, and commune/sangkat levels within Kampong Cham province. The opening ceremony was presided over by Mr. Eng Sophak, Director of the Department of Administration and Human Resources Management of the National Social Security Fund, and Ms. Pang Dani, Deputy Governor of Kampong Cham Provincial Administration, on September 10, 2026. Mr. Eng Sophak stated that the objective of this training is to enhance the understanding of local operators on the National Social Security Fund, preparing them to implement the social assistance program with high efficiency. He emphasized that the technical mechanisms and implementation procedures of this intervention program require training and guidance for municipal, district, and commune/sangkat authorities and all relevant technical officials to equip local operators with the necessary capacity and responsibilities. These local operators are considered the most crucial key to ensuring that the Royal Government's assistance is successfully delivered to citizens in genuine need, in a timely, targeted, and transparent manner, without discrimination.
