Myanmar Meteorological Department Issues Warnings for Scattered Thunderstorms Across the Nation

The Department of Meteorology and Hydrology has issued a nationwide forecast for scattered thunderstorms across Myanmar, effective through May 8, 2026. Heavy rainfall is expected in several regions, with warnings for localized squalls, lightning, and hail. Coastal areas are advised to prepare for moderate sea conditions with waves reaching 4 to 6 feet.
