Cambodia to Raise Garment Sector Minimum Wage to $212 in 2027

Cambodia has decided to raise the monthly minimum wage for the garment, footwear, and travel-goods sectors to $212 starting in 2027. This figure includes an additional $2 added by the Prime Minister to the $210 previously approved by the National Council for Minimum Wage. Worker representatives had pushed for $225 citing rising living costs, while employers advocated for maintaining the current rate.
