Furthermore, it was learned that discussions were held on resuming the stalled Joint Trade Committee meetings and the coordination meetings held between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries. Similarly, Ambassador U Kyaw Soe Moe of Myanmar paid a courtesy call and met with the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources of Bangladesh, H.E. Mr. Iqbal Hassan Mahmood, at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources on August 2. During this meeting, discussions were held regarding the gas pipeline project and energy trade between Myanmar and Bangladesh, and the importance of neighborly relations. Senior officials from the Ministry of Commerce and Energy of Bangladesh, the Deputy Minister and senior officials from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of Bangladesh, and officials from the Myanmar Affairs Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs attended these meetings.
