Union Minister for Education instructs to work towards teaching in remote areas with digital education platforms or video files

Union Minister Dr. Cho Cho Sein of the Ministry of Education instructed to work towards teaching in remote areas with digital education platforms or video files. This was stated at a workshop held on July 16 in the meeting hall of the Department of Higher Education, Office No. 13, Ministry of Education, to promote learning opportunities in line with basic education policies. The Union Minister stated that the basic education sector plays an important role, and success in the higher education sector can only be achieved if basic education is strong. He also emphasized that not only teaching but also management and financial calculations are very important, and these processes are crucial for achieving the goals of the National Education Strategic Plan (NESP 2021-2030). He instructed to broadly consider and work towards teaching in remote areas with digital education platforms or video files. Following this, the Director General of the Department of Basic Education explained the workshop processes, and the Deputy Director General (Education) of the Department of Basic Education introduced three topics for discussion. Participants discussed in three groups through parallel sessions on topics such as improving the completion rate of KG+9 education with high educational quality, strengthening school management and fostering good school environments, and implementing financial planning activities based on reliable basic education school data. This workshop was attended by Deputy Minister Dr. Zaw Myint and U Nay Myo Hlaing of the Ministry of Education, Directors General, Deputy Permanent Secretaries, Deputy Directors General, State/Region/District Education Officers, and responsible persons.
