It is known from the social media page of Ashin Janinda that the leader of “Walk for Peace”, Ashin Panyakara, will visit Myanmar in the coming November and attend the convocation ceremony of the University of World Peace, which will be held at Yan Kin Mountain in Mandalay.,The third convocation ceremony of the University of World Peace will be held on November 15. At this ceremony, Ashin Janinda will be awarded a doctoral degree (Ph.D.), and degrees will also be conferred upon 23 monks who have obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree, as well as those who have obtained various undergraduate and diploma degrees.,Furthermore, as a special program at the convocation ceremony, there will be a program to honor Ashin Panyakara, the leading monk of the world-renowned peace movement “Walk For Peace”. In recognition of the師's selfless efforts in spreading the essence of peace and Buddhism around the world, Ashin Panyakara will be honored with an Honorary D.Phil. (Master of Arts) doctoral degree.,In addition, the M.A. Global Peace Award will be conferred to recognize the師's unique contributions to peace. Therefore, Ashin Panyakara will visit the University of World Peace along with his disciple monk Ashin Dhammika to receive these honorary awards.
