
Japanese snack giant Calbee shifts to black-and-white packaging amid ink supply shortages
Japanese snack manufacturer Calbee is shifting to black-and-white packaging for 14 flagship products, including Potato Chips and Kappa Ebisen, starting in late May. The move addresses supply chain disruptions for printing ink solvents and resins, caused by a shortage of naphtha linked to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
