Cambodian Women's Association Urges Participation in Election Plans to Maintain Peace and Development

Men Sam An, President of the Cambodian Women's Association for Peace and Development (CWPDA), strongly urged leaders and members of the association in Banteay Meanchey province to actively cooperate in the implementation of upcoming election plans and contribute to maintaining national peace and development. The meeting, held on the evening of Friday, September 4, 2026, at the Banteay Meanchey Provincial Hall, served as a platform to foster fellowship, strengthen solidarity, and encourage members' active participation in social work, humanitarian aid, and local development. President Men Sam An expressed her deep joy and gratitude for the consistent attention and warm support provided by H.E. Ouk Ratree, Governor of Banteay Meanchey Province, to Madam Chey Navy, Honorary Vice President of the CWPDA branch, as well as to the association's leadership and members. She assessed that the support from provincial leadership is a crucial driving force enabling women to fulfill their roles more broadly in social work, humanitarian aid, assisting citizens in difficulty, and enhancing women's status in society. Furthermore, President Men Sam An thanked the government working group and the party working group assigned to Banteay Meanchey province for their dedication in carrying out their duties for the welfare and livelihoods of the local population. She noted that the participation of these working groups has contributed to remarkable achievements in local development and citizen services, forming a foundation for further strengthening future accomplishments. What President Men Sam An particularly wished to convey to the women of Banteay Meanchey province was the importance of viewing the association's work as more than just daily tasks. She instructed that in addition to diligently performing their core daily duties within the association and their respective institutions, all members should cooperate and strive to successfully implement the upcoming election plans. She emphasized that participation in election plans should not be seen in isolation from the association's larger missions but rather as a part of contributing to social life and helping to maintain the country's peace, stability, and development. Specifically, she called on association members to maintain solidarity, work as a team, cooperate, and fulfill their roles responsibly to achieve the set goals. For Banteay Meanchey province, the continued strengthening of solidarity among women association members, participation in social work, and the execution of planned tasks are considered additional forces in connecting institutions with the people and in continuing to build a stronger, more harmonious, and prosperous community.
