Indonesia Records Extreme Heat Amidst Strengthening El Niño and Positive IOD

Several regions in Indonesia recorded temperatures exceeding 35 degrees Celsius in early August, attributed to a combination of the expanding dry season, a strengthening El Niño, and a positive Indian Ocean Dipole (IOD). BMKG forecasts the dry conditions to persist.
