Over $291 Million Earned from Export of Rice and Broken Rice

According to statistics from the Myanmar Rice Federation, US$291 million in export earnings have been generated from the export of over 840,000 tons of rice and broken rice abroad in the first five months of the 2026-2027 fiscal year. It is said that over 140,000 tons of rice and broken rice could be exported abroad in August of the past year. According to statistics from the Myanmar Rice Federation, the largest quantities of rice and broken rice were exported abroad in June and July of the current fiscal year. It is said that the countries that exported the largest quantities include the Philippines, China, Poland, the Netherlands, Russia, Romania, Cameroon, Spain, and Belgium. Myanmar is mainly exporting coarse rice belonging to the Eyanma/Nseingroup, such as Sintaut, Thit Htet Yin, Yatana Toe, Nseing, and Yakacho, to the international market.
