Cambodian Foreign Minister Holds Bilateral Talks with Philippine Counterpart in Manila

Lazaro, in Manila on July 20, 2026. The meeting included expressions of gratitude for a trilateral meeting on the Cambodia-Thailand border issue and congratulations on the Philippines' graduation to an upper-middle-income country.
On the afternoon of July 20, 2026, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Prak Sokhonn, held bilateral talks with Philippine Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Ma. Theresa P. Lazaro, in Manila, Republic of the Philippines, on the occasion of his attendance at the 59th ASEAN Foreign Ministers' Meeting and related meetings. On this occasion, the Deputy Prime Minister expressed his profound gratitude to His Excellency Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr., President of the Philippines, for organizing the Cambodia-Thailand-Philippines trilateral meeting held last month on Cebu Island, aimed at seeking a peaceful resolution to the Cambodia-Thailand border issue. The Deputy Prime Minister also congratulated the Philippines on its graduation to an upper-income middle-income country this month.
