Bac Ninh Province Holds 'All-People's Day for National Security Protection,' Deputy Minister of Public Security Attends

On the afternoon of August 8, in Da Mai ward, Bac Ninh province, the Provincial People's Committee organized the 2026 'All-People's Day for National Security Protection.' Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Long, a member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security, attended and delivered a directive speech. This event encourages each citizen to actively participate in maintaining national security under Vietnam's one-party system. Local authorities aim to enhance community-level public security capabilities and foster public awareness and cooperation to address potential threats. Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long stated that active public participation forms a strong foundation for national security, emphasizing the importance of information sharing and community surveillance. This reflects Vietnam's priority on maintaining domestic stability and social order while pursuing economic growth. In recent years, as Vietnam has deepened its economic growth and international relations, it has also simultaneously strengthened domestic social control and security. Particularly in its relationship with China, while deepening economic ties, Vietnam seeks to maintain its own stance due to concerns over territorial issues and security. In this context, domestic stability is a prerequisite for economic development, and public involvement in national security is also prioritized from the perspective of regime maintenance. Notably, on the same day, Mr. Trinh Van Quyet, Head of the Central Propaganda Department, attended a similar 'All-People's Day for National Security Protection' in Gia Lai province, and Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang attended in Hung Yen province.
