Viral Video: Suspected PPPK Teacher Threatens Coffee Vendor with Machete in Bima

A video showing a man allegedly threatening a coffee vendor with a sharp weapon has gone viral on social media in Bima Regency, West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. Shortly after, a man dressed entirely in black approaches and utters harsh words to the woman. The situation escalates, with the man kicking the stall several times before drawing a machete previously hidden under his shirt and threatening her. The man in the video is reportedly a teacher with the status of a Contract Public Servant (PPPK). The incident is said to have occurred in the Sape sub-district of Bima Regency. The video has garnered numerous comments from netizens, many of whom condemn the alleged actions of the PPPK teacher and urge law enforcement to process the case as it is causing public unrest. According to local media investigations, the victim, identified as Nur Islamiah (26), a resident of Bugis Village, Sape sub-district, officially reported the incident to the Sape Police Station on Monday (August 31, 2026). The reported incident involves alleged criminal intimidation, which took place at a coffee stall in the parking area of a private bank in Sape sub-district on Sunday (August 30, 2026) night. The reported perpetrator is identified by the initials D. Sape Police Chief AKP Sirajuddin has not yet provided a statement regarding the report when contacted by detikBali on Tuesday (September 1, 2026) night.
