A verbal exchange has also erupted on social media between Wiroj Lakkhanaadisorn, deputy leader of the Bhumjai Thai party, and Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul. Wiroj made an insinuating post regarding the number "229" in connection with a specific scandal, which Anutin dismissed as "baseless self-assumption." The government spokesman also suggested that Wiroj undergo a medical examination, indicating a continuation of the back-and-forth. The Election Commission is scheduled to make a decision on the Senate election collusion allegations on September 14, and potential delays in this decision could impact deliberations on resolving the southern border conflict and the Election Commission's annual report.
