Dien Bien Province Delivers Nearly 2,000 Mid-Autumn Festival Gifts to Highland Children

In Vietnam's northwestern province of Điện Biên, the Provincial Business Association distributed nearly 2,000 Mid-Autumn Festival gifts to ethnic minority children in Pú Nhung commune, Tuần Giáo district, on September 19th. This initiative aims to bring the joy of the traditional festival to children living in the province's mountainous regions and to encourage them. Điện Biên province is one of the less developed regions in Vietnam, despite the country's overall economic growth in recent years. While progress has been made in agriculture, such as achieving targets for expanding coffee cultivation areas, disparities with lowland areas persist in infrastructure, education, and healthcare. This gift distribution can be seen as a social consideration addressing these regional gaps. Furthermore, the province is undergoing administrative reforms, with personnel changes such as the appointment of the Na Son commune Party Secretary as the Director of the Provincial Department for Management of Traffic Construction Projects, aimed at promoting regional development. Concurrently, crackdowns on traffic violations are being intensified to ensure compliance with regulations. The Điện Biên Provincial Business Association is also deepening cooperation with partners in Laos and China, exploring regional economic revitalization through its international business network. The Mid-Autumn Festival gift distribution demonstrates a commitment to social welfare alongside economic activities.
