CHIANG RAI – The Chiang Rai Provincial Sports Association is taking a massive step to prepare local athletes for national success. On August 4, 2026, top sports officials gathered to excitedly distribute brand new training gear. This premium gear will help athletes thoroughly prepare for the highly anticipated 41st National Youth Games, famously known as the “Surat Thani Games”. Mrs. Rattana Jongsutthamanee, the esteemed President of the association, led this special equipment handover event. She was happily joined by Mrs. Chayanunt Chueasirithaworn, Director of the Sports Office of Thailand for Chiang Rai. Together, they met at the Somdet Phra Srinakarin Borommarajchanani Building to promptly deliver these vital sporting goods. This massive equipment delivery covers a wonderfully wide range of highly popular athletic events. Dedicated athletes in table tennis, basketball, volleyball, and football will now train with top-tier gear. Furthermore, the program proudly supports martial arts and precision sports like karate, taekwondo, amateur boxing, and shooting. In total, this incredibly generous initiative provides standard competitive gear for 23 distinct sports. Other generously funded events include badminton, petanque, futsal, sepak takraw, soft tennis, tennis, and pencak silat. Meanwhile, athletes competing in weightlifting, jujitsu, rugby, swimming, and woodball also received their much-needed equipment today. Having standard sports equipment is absolutely vital for both daily training and actual tournament competition. These high-quality tools will allow local athletes to safely practice under real, stressful tournament conditions. Therefore, the association firmly believes this upgrade will give young competitors a truly fair chance to shine nationally. Because of this, thoughtful officials provided essential financial compensation to 48 dedicated local coaches. The total payment for the local coaching staff reached an impressive 628,560 baht.
