Vietnamese Rescue Team Pulls 54 Earthquake Victims from Rubble in Venezuela

The Vietnamese rescue team continued its search for victims of a major earthquake in Venezuela, recovering nine more bodies. This brings the total number of victims recovered from the rubble to 54. On July 4 (local time), the Vietnamese team organized into various groups to continue search operations for victims trapped in the aftermath of the twin earthquakes in the Playa Grande area (La Guaira state) of Venezuela, recovering nine more bodies. On the same day, the team also assisted local residents in moving their belongings and continued to provide free medical examinations and prescriptions to the local population. Previously, on the morning of July 3 (local time), forces from the Vietnam People's Army coordinated with Venezuelan forces using specialized equipment to detect a signal suspected to be from a survivor inside a collapsed building in Playa Grande. Immediately, the two sides began a race against time, conducting search operations day and night. The search effort received special attention from the local authorities and residents. Commander of the Venezuelan Militia Force, Nayade Lockiby Belmonte, who was present at the scene on the night of July 3 (local time), expressed gratitude to Vietnam for sending forces to help overcome the earthquake's consequences. He highly appreciated the coordination between the Vietnam People's Army and Venezuelan forces in the effort to find victims, affirming that Venezuela is always ready to provide maximum support to Vietnam during its mission. After more than ten hours of strenuous effort, in the early morning of July 4 (local time), the Vietnam People's Army reached the location where the signal was suspected. However, despite meticulously checking every nook and cranny, no traces were found. Although a miracle rescue was not achieved, the Vietnam People's Army brought something equally valuable: dedication, borderless humanity, and a reliable support for friends in distress.
