Thai Airport Authority Faces Scrutiny Over Billion-Dollar Contract Revision

Former Thai MPs have petitioned the National Budget Committee to investigate the Airport of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT) for allegedly causing a state loss of approximately 180 billion baht over 10 years by revising concession agreements with a private operator for duty-free shops and commercial spaces. Concerns are raised that the cabinet was aware of this loss but took no concrete action.
